"The manufacturer, known also as O.P.K., told Green Inc. that the first model would be used to help power Viluchinsk, a city on the Kamchatka peninsula that serves as an atomic submarine base.

O.P.K. said similar models could power other cities in northern Russia in the future. But according to nuclear experts, mining companies are likely to use Russian-built floating reactors to power operations to extract oil and gas and valuable minerals from the Arctic and other remote regions."

The manufacturer is citing the plant's mobility and distance from human settlement two if its main benefits.

Following on from the bikes of the Tour of California and the Giro, we’re keeping the article going with the bikes and the technology of the Tour de France.

Cervelo will have 3 bikes at the Tour this year, the S3, the R3 SL, and the P4.

The S3 takes the aero front tringle of their Soloist frame and merges it with a rear triangle inspired by Cervélo’s R3 comfort-performance bike. The resulting bike is supposed to be both stiffer and more comfortable then the Soloist.More.......

Witnesses have stated that Dorothy Richardson beat the fawn to death with a shovel after she caught it sitting in her flower bed. However, Richardson has said she feared for her life after the way it looked her in the eye.More ..........................

Used Car Prices Keep Climbing

If you’re looking to sell your used car or truck, now couldn’t be a better time. According to Bloomberg News, used car prices continued to rise last month. That makes June the sixth month in a row where wholesale car prices have climbed. The figures are up 5.8 percent from June, 2008 and 16.4 percent since January, 2009. Unfortunately, the reason for the increase in used car value has less to do with buyer demand and more to do with the number of cars available.

It’s no secret used car sales are absolutely dismal, and as such, there are fewer trade-ins available. What’s more, rental companies aren’t replacing their fleet vehicles with the same frequency as before. The result is fewer available vehicles than the market is accustomed to. What’s more, lower gas prices have spurred an interest in big, thirsty vehicles like SUVs and pick-up trucks – causing their value to climb as well.More...................
